Use of Personal Protective Equipment

As part of a NIOSH-sponsored supplement on occupational health, two questions about the use of personal protective equipment were administered between 1999 and 2001. In 2001, the most prevalent forms of pesticide protective equipment used by agricultural workers who reported handling pesticides were boots (64%), respirators (62%), and goggles (61%).
